The Pflaum Gospel Weeklies are a liturgically-based catechetical program. Each lesson in the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies Faith Formation Program flows from the words of Jesus Christ in the Sunday Gospels. Children learn their faith—including formation in doctrine, sacraments, commandments, and prayer—within the rhythms and seasons of the Liturgical Year, encouraging a growing participation in the life of the parish community.

Each week your child will receive a new Gospel Weekly magazine lesson dated for that Sunday of the liturgical year. These lessons are at the heart of the program and will be used in class and then brought home for you to see and talk about with your children. Because Pflaum Gospel Weeklies are new each week, and do not use a textbook, they are very appealing to young people and easy to use in class and at home. Each child also receives a catechism handbook called What the Church Believes and Teaches. The accompanying What the Church believes and teaches handbook leads children to understand the basics of the Catholic faith. Different parts of the handbook are integrated into each lesson. This handbook contains all the doctrinal elements that are considered essential at each grade level. The program is in complete bilingual editions.
