Baptism

Contact the Parish Office | (770) 973-0038, Ext 11

Baptism is one of the sacraments of Christian initiation in which the person is freed from original sin, from personal guilt and born again as sons of God. It is the beginning of new life. It is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. "Baptism gives us the grace of new birth in God the Father, through His Son, in the Holy Spirit." See John 3: 5 and Mt. 28:18-20 for Scriptural references.

A baptism class and interview with one of our priests or deacons is required. The baptismal classes are being offered monthly in our parish as follows: English Class - 1st Sunday of the month; Portuguese Class - 2nd Sunday; Spanish Class - 3rd Sunday. The classes will be in Room 215, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. For information, please contact Judy Comeau at (770) 973-0038 ext 11.

If your child is age 7 or older and not yet baptized, please refer to Christian Initiation for Children and Teens (R.C.I.C.).
