But every once in a while a letter comes in that’s worth sharing with a wider audience. Last month, in preparation for the October 2018 synod, roughly 300 young adults from around the world gathered in Rome to discuss their views of faith and the Church. The result was a valuable experience of dialogue and learning—so valuable that I think that continuing the process of listening to a wide range of young adult experiences is important. I

Opportunity to Give Back to Our Community:

Holy Family Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus will be joining with Eastside Baptist Church on a cleanup project sponsored by the Cobb County Police Department under the direction of our Officer Nathalie Jegg. The goal is to spend one Saturday morning cleaning up the grounds of a low-income housing project in our parish. The date for the project is April 28th at Tall Pines Apartments at the end of Gresham Road near the Marietta Driving Range. We will start at 9:30 a.m. and will end around noon or 12:30. Eastside Baptist Church will feed everyone a hot dog lunch afterward. Keep Cobb Beautiful will lend us vests and pick-up sticks and garbage bags. We will also have a chipper from Cob

Pastoral Council Updates

April 9, 2018 MEETING The following topics were discussed at this month’s meeting: 1. Sanctuary Enhancement Update: a. The date for pew removal is the week of June 24th. Mass will be held in the Parish Center. The Narthex and access to the elevator will remain open. b. We will be adding electric heating in the front windows behind the altar. c. All proposed costs remain within our projected budget. All required funds are currently held in our Capital Building account. d. The need for plans for future church projects was discussed. 2. Father Miguel and Father Nathaniel are planning to devote two weekends a year (Feb. and Sept.) to an Explanatory Mass, where parishioners are led through to an
